Our method of seeding puts your lawn in an optimum position to germinate turf seed. We use Hydro-Mulch rather than the messy alternative of straw to mulch the seed bed. A premium starter fertilizer is used to force the seed to germinate as quickly as possible. A premium blend of seed is used for the situation that best suits your needs. If you have kids and they are playing in the lawn frequently, then we would use a blend of seed that is a little more durable and drought tolerant. If your lawn is irrigated, we might use a blend that includes more bluegrass, depending on light exposure.  Du Sum Landscape Services guarantees that 85% of the seed that we sow will germinate. Sod is another alternative that we use to install or renovate your lawn. Du Sum Landscape Services uses sod produced only from the most reputable sod farms in the state. We use locally grown sod that is clay backed. If your sod is grown in a black, peat based soil, it will have a hard time rooting in our Indiana Clay. This is why we use only clay backed sod.
